*Hyderabad, Sept 2024:* The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Cyberabad Police has registered a case against Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Bhujanga Rao and several others, accusing them of criminal conspiracy, cheating, and impersonation in a land-grabbing case involving a 340-acre property in Kukatpally. The complaint was filed by Mir Abbas Ali Khan, son of the late Nawab Mir Hashim Ali Khan, who accused a group of individuals, including SS Moinuddin, Srinivas Rao of Prime Properties, and Chalamalasetty Anil, managing director of Greenko Company, of forging documents and using fraudulent means to usurp his family’s ancestral land.According to the complaint, the land in question, located in Survey No. 1007 of Kukatpally, originally belonged to Nawab Rayees Yar Jung, the complainant’s grandfather, and was passed down to his father, Nawab Mir Hashim Ali Khan, via a registered sale deed in 1952. After Nawab Rayees Yar Jung’s death in 1960, the complainant’s father legally regained possession of the land. However, Abbas Ali Khan claims that over the years, a conspiracy was hatched to take control of the valuable property.Abbas Ali Khan alleges that Moinuddin, along with other accused, including Yaseen Shakir, manipulated his father, who was financially vulnerable and lacked legal expertise, to form a bogus partnership under the name *Prime Properties*. The group allegedly forged signatures and created fraudulent documents in an attempt to claim ownership of the land. The situation escalated with the involvement of ACP Bhujanga Rao, who has been accused of using his position to threaten the complainant’s father. According to Abbas Ali Khan, Rao pressured his father to withdraw a criminal case against the conspirators by falsely claiming that he was an imposter. In a shocking turn of events, ACP Rao allegedly directed an investigating officer to arrest Abbas Ali Khan’s father under fabricated charges, forcing him to escape from the police station to avoid arrest. The complaint also implicates Chalamalasetty Anil, managing director of Greenko Company, in the conspiracy. Anil is said to have financially supported Srinivas Rao and others involved in the land fraud. Abbas Ali Khan further alleged that he and his father were kidnapped by goons hired by the accused and tortured into signing blank papers and legal documents under duress. The EOW is currently investigating the case, and ACP Bhujanga Rao, along with the other accused, has been booked for criminal conspiracy, cheating, impersonation, and forgery. The case has drawn significant public attention, as it involves high-ranking officials, influential business figures, and a prominent Hyderabad family. Further developments are expected as the investigation continues.
