**Vijayawada, September 2, 2024:** Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu dedicated his entire Sunday night to leading rescue and relief operations in Vijayawada, Krishna district, following severe flooding caused by relentless rains, the overflow of the Budameru rivulet, and floods in the Krishna River. Foregoing sleep, Naidu undertook a rigorous tour of the flood-affected regions to ensure that assistance reached those in need.Commencing his efforts at 2 PM on Sunday, Naidu meticulously inspected some of the worst-hit areas, including Ajith Singh Nagar, Krishna Lanka, Ibrahimpatnam, Ferry, Jupudi, and Moolapadu. His on-ground coordination and inspections continued until 4 AM on Monday. Naidu personally navigated the flooded streets of Jupudi and Moolapadu, engaging with affected residents and assessing their immediate needs.During his nighttime visits, the Chief Minister reassured residents of his commitment to their welfare. “I will stand by you,” Naidu declared, urging people to remain calm and adhere to safety guidelines. He emphasized the importance of following government directives and encouraged residents to use the government’s toll-free number for information and support.Naidu’s proactive and empathetic approach to the crisis has been widely praised, with his hands-on involvement offering significant reassurance to those grappling with the impacts of the floods.
