Hyderabad, September 12, 2024 – Former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is gearing up for a significant political confrontation with his counterpart, CM Revanth Reddy. Despite maintaining a silence on Reddy’s administration and recent issues such as the Khammam floods, KCR appears poised to challenge the Congress-led government’s handling of state matters.KCR’s strategic approach involves leveraging public dissatisfaction, particularly among farmers, to fuel opposition against Revanth Reddy’s government. The Congress administration, which promised to fulfill various assurances within the first 100 days, has seen many of these promises remain unmet even after 10 months. To address these issues, KCR has scheduled an important meeting at Telangana Bhavan on September 18. The meeting will mark the beginning of a major organizational overhaul within his party. Sources suggest that KCR plans to form a dynamic team and assign key roles to activists. Following this meeting, KCR is expected to embark on regular tours across districts, focusing on issues related to farmers and the Rythu Bandhu scheme. In a tactical move, KTR and Harish Rao, key figures in KCR’s party, are anticipated to focus on South Telangana while KCR addresses concerns in North Telangana. The role of MLC Kavita in these developments is yet to be clarified. The upcoming meeting and subsequent actions are expected to intensify the political landscape in Telangana, setting the stage for a robust contest between KCR and Revanth Reddy.
