Telangana CM Orders Strict Action Against Those Harassing Farmers in Paddy Procurement

*Hyderabad, India* – Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to take strict action against those causing difficulties for farmers in the paddy procurement process. The CM has stated that, if necessary, stringent measures should be enforced under the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) against such traders.Reports of farmers facing troubles in certain areas during the paddy purchase process were brought to the CM’s attention, prompting him to immediately address the issue with relevant officials. He emphasized that incidents involving fraud, confusion, or harassment of farmers during the sale of their produce will be dealt with firmly.The Chief Minister has instructed district collectors across the state to ensure a smooth paddy procurement process and to take immediate steps to resolve any issues by consulting higher authorities if needed.
