Hyderabad, September 12, 2024 – The Telangana government, under CM Revanth Reddy, has announced a new initiative aimed at empowering Dwakra women through the distribution of electric autos. This move is part of a broader set of welfare schemes introduced since the Congress came to power.Following the implementation of the free bus scheme for women, the government is now focusing on further individual benefits. In a recent development, an electric auto was presented to a woman from Palakurti in Janagama district. This distribution marks the beginning of a planned rollout for women involved in Dwakra Savings Societies.The electric auto, financed through Stri Nidhi loans, is intended to support women in generating income. However, recipients will be required to repay the loan with interest. The government is also preparing to assess the need for charging infrastructure and will submit a report on this matter in the near future.This initiative is expected to enhance the economic opportunities for Dwakra women and contribute to their overall empowerment in the state.
