The 64-year-old physician, originally from Menakuru village in Naidupet mandal, Tirupati district, was fatally shot by an assailant.Dr. Ramesh Babu had established a distinguished medical career in America
, where he built and served numerous hospitals. Known for his generosity and community involvement, he was also noted for hosting Indian political leaders and had a street named in his honor for his contributions.He was deeply committed to his roots, having donated Rs. 14 lakhs to his former high school and Rs. 20 lakhs for the construction of Sai Baba Mandir in his hometown. Dr. Ramesh Babu had recently visited Naidupet to attend a relative’s wedding on August 15, before his untimely death.The news of his passing has sent shockwaves through his family. His wife, also a doctor, along with their two daughters and two sons, are making arrangements to travel to America. Dr. Ramesh Babu’s mother and brother, who reside in Naidupet, are also preparing to join them.
