*Chittoor, September 7, 2024* — Tamil Nadu actor Vijay’s political party, Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam (TVK), has been officially recognized by the Election Commission of India. The announcement comes after a 7-month wait following TVK’s application for party registration in February 2024.In a statement, Vijay, the leader of Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam, expressed his happiness and shared the news of the official recognition. “We applied to the Election Commission of India on February 2 last to register the Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam as a political party. The Election Commission has now legally registered our party and allowed us to participate in electoral politics.
