Non-Bailable Warrant Issued Against Activist in Mysuru Amid MUDA Land Scam Investigation

*Mysuru, October 1, 2024* – A Mysuru court has issued a non-bailable warrant against social activist Snehamayi Krishna, who is the complainant in the high-profile MUDA land scam case, for failing to appear in a separate cheque bounce case. Krishna’s absence from court was reportedly due to a scheduling conflict, as he was required to appear before the Lokayukta police on the same day regarding the ongoing investigation into the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case.Krishna, according to sources close to him, missed his court appearance due to the clash in dates but has vowed to attend the court soon. The activist’s petition had led to the booking of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathi, and two others in connection with the alleged illegal allotment of sites.The Lokayukta police, investigating the case, conducted a survey on Tuesday of a 3.16-acre plot of land in Mysuru, which is at the center of the controversy. It is alleged that 14 sites were illegally allotted to CM Siddaramaiah’s wife in lieu of this land. The investigation team was joined by the special land acquisition officer, surveyors, and town planning officials from MUDA. Krishna was also present during the survey.The MUDA land allotment case has garnered significant attention in Karnataka, particularly because of the involvement of high-ranking political figures. The investigation continues as authorities examine the legality of the site allocations.
