AP Education Department Issues New Guidelines for Schools: Student Attendance to be Displayed in Classrooms

**Amaravati, September 14, 2024** – In a move to improve accountability and ensure transparency in student attendance, the Andhra Pradesh Education Department has issued important guidelines for all schools across the state. Director of School Education (Coordination), Parvathi, announced that it will now be mandatory for schools to display student attendance in every classroom on a daily basis.According to the new orders, schools are required to display the total number of students enrolled and the number of students present each day on the classroom blackboard. This directive applies to both government and private schools, with strict instructions for compliance.Parvathi emphasized that this measure is aimed at improving student attendance and helping both teachers and parents keep track of classroom engagement. School owners and administrators have been instructed to implement the new system immediately.This initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to enhance the quality of education and ensure that students are regularly attending classes, thus improving academic outcomes across the state.
