*Peddapalli District, August 3:* In a significant crackdown on corruption, ACB officials apprehended Kalva Srirampur Tehsildar Zahid Pasha, along with VRA Mallesham’s son Dasari Vishnu and their driver Anjad, for accepting a bribe of ₹10,000 from a local farmer named Kadam Tirupati in Mandamarri. The incident took place on Saturday, shaking the administrative corridors of Kalva Srirampur mandal in Peddapalli district.The bribery scandal unfolded when it was revealed that officials were extorting money in exchange for resolving a land dispute involving 28 pits on Survey No. 645/A, allegedly encroached upon by some individuals despite belonging to Mallaiah. Earlier complaints from Mallaiah’s son regarding delayed administrative processes had allegedly gone unanswered, prompting him to escalate the matter to district authorities.Further complicating matters, VRA Mallesham’s son Vishnu was implicated in a previous bribe case involving ₹15,000, which prompted distressed individuals to approach ACB officials for intervention.ACB Deputy Superintendent Raman Murthy, along with CI Krishna Kumar and their team, orchestrated the operation leading to the apprehension of the accused at the scene of the crime.
