Telangana Government on High Alert for Monkeypox

*Hyderabad*: In response to the rise in monkeypox cases globally, Telangana’s Health Minister Damodara Rajanarsimha has convened a high-level meeting to address the situation. With confirmed cases in Delhi and Kerala, and none yet in Telangana, the government is taking proactive measures. Minister Rajanarsimha emphasized the need for preparedness, including the establishment of special wards in Gandhi and Fever Hospitals in Hyderabad. Additionally, preventive medicines and medical kits will be distributed to government hospitals across all districts in Telangana. Despite the increasing global concern, the minister reassured the public that there is no immediate cause for panic as the government remains vigilant and prepared.
