The Deputy Chief Minister, along with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, laid the foundation stone for the “Ande Sri Smriti Vanam” and a memorial statue at the site of the poet’s last rites in Ghatkesar, Medchal district, on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

Addressing a public meeting, Bhatti Vikramarka said the Congress government under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy believes in honouring every promise it makes. He recalled that when Dr. Ande Sri passed away, the Chief Minister personally carried the poet’s bier as a mark of respect and assured support to his family.

The Deputy CM stated that all five promises made to the family have now been fulfilled. As part of those assurances, Ande Sri’s son Dattu has been appointed as a Lecturer at BJR Degree College. The government has also directed the Education Department to print and distribute 20,000 copies of Ande Sri’s acclaimed poetry collection “Nippula Vaagu.”
