Karnataka Cabinet Approves ₹25 Crore Road Development Project in Kalaburagi

Bengaluru, July 20: The Karnataka Cabinet has approved a ₹25 crore road development project to improve connectivity in the Jewargi Assembly constituency of Kalaburagi district. The announcement was welcomed by Karnataka Home Minister and IT & BT Minister Priyank Kharge.

The project covers the development of 20.65 kilometres of roads, including the Kattisangavi–Yanagunti–Naribol–Malkhed Cross stretch on State Highway-156 and the Kellur–Andola district main road. Existing roads will be widened from 3.75 metres to 5.5 metres in selected sections to enhance safety and improve transportation.

Priyank Kharge said that better road infrastructure will benefit farmers, students, businesses, and residents by providing safer and faster travel while boosting rural development and economic growth. He added that the project will improve connectivity for thousands of people in Kadkol, Kattisangavi, Naribol, Kellur, and Andola villages and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to balanced rural infrastructure development.
