Nepal Flood Rescue: 5-Year-Old Girl Manisha Survives 60 Hours Under Debris
Rasuwa, Nepal: In a remarkable rescue, a young girl survived nearly 60 hours trapped under debris in flood-hit Nepal.
The survivor has been identified in recent reports as five-year-old Manisha Magar. She was found alive in Timure, in Nepal’s Rasuwa district.
Rescue teams heard a faint sound coming from beneath the debris. The sound helped them locate the trapped child.
The rescuers then began removing the rubble by hand and with available equipment. After nearly two hours of work, they managed to pull Manisha out safely.
The little girl had been trapped in a small gap beneath the debris. Homes and trees had been swept away by the devastating floods and landslides.
Following her rescue, Manisha was taken for medical treatment. Reports said she was later transported by helicopter to a hospital.
Her survival has offered a rare moment of hope amid Nepal’s ongoing flood disaster.

The rescue came as Nepal continued to battle the aftermath of devastating floods and landslides. Rasuwa has been among the worst-affected districts.
