Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Takes Key Decisions

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet met recently and took several significant decisions. The cabinet canceled the reverse tendering system and approved a proposal to call tenders using the old system.In another key decision, the cabinet approved the restoration of Polavaram left canal works and agreed to continue with the current contractors. Additionally, the cabinet approved the reorganization of the excise department and passed a resolution to abolish the Special Enforcement Bureau.The cabinet also gave the green signal for holding elections to irrigation societies and approved filling 269 supernumerary posts in municipalities. A notification for these posts is expected to be released soon.Furthermore, the cabinet approved the setting up of 2,771 new ration shops related to the Civil Supplies Department. Discussions are also underway on reorganizing the Excise and Secretariats, as well as canceling MDU vehicles.These decisions are expected to have a significant impact on various sectors in Andhra Pradesh, including infrastructure development, employment, and public services.
