Hyderabad: Deputy CM Bhatti Instructs Officials to Ensure Yadadri Thermal Power Plant Operates at Full Capacity by March 2025

*Hyderabad* – Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday directed officials to ensure that the 4,000 MW (5X800 MW) Yadadri Thermal Power Plant, located in Damarcherla, Nalgonda district, functions at full capacity by March 2025. During his visit to the plant, accompanied by Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Bhatti urged officials to take steps to complete the project on schedule, aiming to begin operations by March 2025. He emphasized the importance of meeting deadlines and asked authorities to accelerate their efforts.Bhatti also instructed officials to ensure that compensation is provided to all displaced individuals who were affected by the construction of the power plant. Additionally, he stressed the need to offer jobs to eligible persons who had given up their lands for the project.In a related development, R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy directed his department to construct a four-lane road connecting Damarcherla, which will facilitate the transportation of coal necessary for the plant’s operations. The project is seen as critical for enhancing Telangana’s power generation capacity and addressing the state’s growing energy needs.
