*Hyderabad, September 19, 2024:* Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced a major initiative today, allocating Rs. 100 crore for the maintenance of the Young India Skills University, a flagship project of the Congress government aimed at empowering the youth with advanced vocational training. This decision was made during a high-level board meeting held at the Secretariat under the leadership of the Chief Minister.The Young India Skills University, being established in Muchcharla, Rangareddy district, is envisioned to play a pivotal role in addressing the skill gaps in various industries and equipping the state’s youth for the future workforce. During the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of creating a corpus fund to ensure the smooth and sustained operation of the university.The meeting saw the participation of prominent industrialists, government officials, and university board members, including Chairman Anand Mahindra, Minister Sridhar Babu, Co-Chairman Sriniraju, and Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari. The officials briefed the industrialists on the key aspects of the university and its strategic importance for Telangana’s growth and development.Speaking at the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy expressed his commitment to making the university a world-class institution. “Young India Skills University will be a game changer for the youth of Telangana, equipping them with the skills needed to excel in emerging industries.
