**Srisailam** – A leopard was spotted crossing the Srisailam-Hyderabad main road near Vatavarlapalli, captured on video by startled passengers traveling in a car. The encounter, which took place recently, showed the leopard briefly traversing the road before disappearing back into the nearby forest.Rohit Goppidi, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of the Amrabad Tiger Reserve, confirmed the sighting, stating that such incidents are not unusual in the area. “The region’s thriving biodiversity means animals often cross roads, especially at night,” Goppidi explained.Forest officials are reminding travelers to remain vigilant on highways adjacent to forest areas, as unexpected wildlife encounters can pose risks. They emphasize the importance of caution to ensure the safety of both drivers and animals.
