Congress Targets Huzurabad MLA Kaushik Reddy Over Delay in Welfare Cheques Distribution

Huzurabad Constituency | July 11, 2025 |

Congress leaders have sharply criticized Huzurabad MLA Kaushik Reddy for allegedly delaying the distribution of *CM Relief Fund (CMRF) and Kalyana Lakshmi cheques. *Pranav Voditala, Congress in-charge for Huzurabad, accused the MLA of creating unnecessary hurdles for eligible beneficiaries.

Cheques Withheld, Beneficiaries Troubled

At a press meet held in Huzurabad town, Pranav Voditala addressed multiple issues concerning welfare delivery:

  • Around 150 CMRF cheques are set to be distributed in the constituency.
  • 39 cheques worth over ₹16 lakh have already been distributed in Huzurabad Mandal.
  • The Congress government has fulfilled its promise of 42% reservation for BCs, earning praise from local leaders.

Pranav questioned why Kaushik Reddy is facing issues in cheque distribution, unlike other MLAs, and alleged that this is causing distress among poor families.

Sharp Allegations: Criminal Past, Social Media Dramas, and Delays

  • Pranav slammed Kaushik for posting on social media that he would become an “AK-47 gun” if targeted. “Are you going to harm people now?” he asked.
  • He claimed that Kaushik Reddy has a criminal background and multiple cases across party affiliations.
  • He accused Kaushik of caring more about social media reels than solving public issues.

Housing and Ration Card Progress Highlighted

Congress also highlighted achievements under their administration:

  • 3,500 beneficiaries have already been selected for Indiramma houses.
  • Paused construction work will be resumed, and funds will be allocated to complete double-bedroom homes.
  • Over 3,500 new ration cards have been sanctioned since Congress came to power — none were issued during BRS’s 10-year rule, Pranav said.
