Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud has expressed strong confidence in his party’s victory in the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election.
Speaking to media on Saturday, Goud criticized former minister *Harish Rao, accusing him of misleading the public regarding the *Banakacharla issue. He asserted that governance in the state is now progressing in line with people’s expectations, and the Congress party has gained the trust of the masses.
Local Leaders Join Congress Ahead of Bypoll
During a local party event, several influential leaders from the Jubilee Hills constituency officially joined the Congress. TPCC chief Goud personally welcomed them into the party by presenting the traditional Congress kanduva (scarf).
He emphasized that the growing support in Jubilee Hills signals a strong undercurrent favoring the Congress. “The people are clearly leaning toward a change, and we are ready to deliver,” he said.
Congress Eyes Strategic Comeback in Telangana
The Jubilee Hills by-election is being seen as a critical moment for Congress in Telangana. The party has been making significant strides in urban constituencies, capitalizing on public dissatisfaction with past administrations.

Harish Rao Under Fire for ‘False Claims’
Mahesh Kumar Goud didn’t mince words when responding to BRS senior leader Harish Rao. He accused Rao of spreading falsehoods about irrigation projects and governance in Banakacharla.
He stated, “Instead of accepting failures, BRS leaders are resorting to baseless statements. The public is no longer buying their narrative.”
