Mulugu, July 26, 2025 —
In a strong message to the younger generation, Mulugu Sub-Inspector Vijay Kumar urged students to steer clear of drugs and other intoxicating substances. He emphasized the importance of making the right choices during their formative years.
The awareness session was held on Friday at the Ksheerasagar Zilla Parishad High School, where the students were sensitized about a range of issues — from drug abuse to cybercrime and social media safety.
Awareness Drive by Mulugu Police & She Teams
As part of a special initiative, the Gajwel She Team, along with SI Vijay Kumar, addressed students on key social concerns. The interactive session included detailed discussions on:
- The dangers of drug abuse and addiction,
- Eve-teasing and legal consequences,
- Understanding good touch and bad touch,
- Rising cases of cybercrimes targeting youth,
- The negative impact of misusing social media.
Speaking on the occasion, SI Vijay Kumar advised, “Education is your greatest strength. Stay focused on your studies and be alert. Say no to drugs, no matter how attractive or harmless they may seem.”
Students Encouraged to Speak Up and Stay Safe
The session also highlighted how peer pressure and social influence can lead to harmful decisions. Officers urged students to report any suspicious activities or harassment without fear.
“Never hesitate to speak up. Whether it’s bullying, online threats, or abuse — inform your parents, teachers, or police immediately,” one of the She Team officers added.
The program ended with a Q\&A session where students expressed their doubts and shared experiences. Teachers appreciated the initiative, calling it “timely and essential.”
