PM Modi Inaugurates ₹2,200 Crore Development Projects in Varanasi; Credits PM-KISAN 20th Installment to 9.7 Crore Farmers

Varanasi, August 2, 2025 –

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his parliamentary constituency Varanasi today and launched a string of developmental projects worth approximately ₹2,200 crore, marking a major boost to the city’s infrastructure and growth.

PM Launches Major Infrastructure Works

In his address, PM Modi laid the foundation stones and inaugurated several key projects aimed at improving urban mobility, basic services, and cultural preservation in Kashi, one of India’s oldest living cities.

The event was attended by *Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who also *felicitated the Prime Minister for his leadership and contributions to the state.

Speaking at the event, CM Yogi Adityanath praised PM Modi’s recent international and national efforts. Referring to Operation Sindoor, Yogi stated,

“PM Modi has arrived in Kashi at a time when the entire world has witnessed India’s courage and capabilities. Through Operation Sindoor, this new India has proven that it possesses the strength to bring even the Pahalgam attackers to justice.”

His remarks reflect the growing image of India as a decisive global power under Modi’s leadership.

Over ₹20,000 Crore Credited to Farmers Under PM-KISAN

Another major announcement during the event was the release of the *20th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. PM Modi personally credited *more than ₹20,000 crore directly into the bank accounts of 9.7 crore farmers across the country.

The scheme, a flagship initiative aimed at providing income support to farmers, continues to be a critical pillar of the government’s rural development agenda.
