Hyderabad | August 10, 2025:
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Finance & Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has directed that solar power panels be installed on a priority basis in all government offices, schools, and colleges across the state.
During a video conference with district collectors on Saturday, the minister emphasized that the initiative must be treated as an urgent mission to promote renewable energy adoption and reduce dependency on conventional electricity.
He instructed officials to compile and submit a complete list of government buildings — from Gram Panchayat offices to the State Secretariat — within the next seven days. The move is part of the government’s plan to transform Telangana into a leading solar energy hub.
In addition, Bhatti Vikramarka has set a target to complete the installation of solar pump sets in farmlands within the next three years. He stressed that such projects would not only cut energy costs but also benefit farmers and rural communities in the long run.
