AAP Releases Second List of 9 Candidates for Haryana Assembly Elections

*Chandigarh, September 10, 2024*: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday unveiled its second list of 9 candidates for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections. The newly announced candidates will contest from Sadhpura, Thanesar, Indri, Ratia, Adampur, Barwala, Faridabad, and Tigaon constituencies. This comes after AAP Haryana chief Sushil Gupta hinted earlier in the day that the party would field candidates for all 90 seats, signaling a collapse in alliance talks with the Congress. “There are multiple names for each seat, so scrutiny and other things are being done,” Gupta told ANI, confirming the party’s intention to go solo.On Monday, AAP had released its first list of 20 candidates. With the nomination window for the October 5 Haryana Assembly elections closing on September 12, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party decided to move forward independently after alliance negotiations with Congress failed to make significant progress. The 90-member Haryana Assembly will witness a fierce contest as parties gear up for the polls next month.
