ACB Uncovers Over Rs. 6 Crore in Assets During Raid on Nizamabad Municipal Superintendent

**Nizamabad, August 9, 2024** — In a high-profile operation, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has seized a substantial cache of cash and assets from Dasari Narendar, the Superintendent and in-charge Revenue Officer at the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation. The raid was part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of disproportionate assets.During the search, ACB officials discovered Rs. 2.93 crore in cash at Narendar’s residence. The investigation also revealed a total of Rs. 1.10 crore in bank accounts held by Narendar, his wife, and his mother. Additionally, the raid uncovered 51 tolas of gold valued at Rs. 6 lakh and 17 immovable properties worth Rs. 1.98 crore. In total, the assets seized amount to approximately Rs. 6.07 crore.The case against Narendar is being pursued under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, specifically Sections 13(1)(b) and 13(2), which address the acquisition of assets beyond one’s known sources of income through corrupt means. Narendar has been arrested and will be presented before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad.The ACB’s investigation is ongoing, with further searches planned to uncover any additional undisclosed assets.
