Arjun Ram Meghwal Casts Vote in Bikaner, Says Voting Reflects Liberty, Equality and Fraternity
Bikaner, Rajasthan: Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal cast his vote in Bikaner during the first phase of Rajasthan’s urban local body elections on Wednesday.
After exercising his franchise, Meghwal highlighted the importance of democratic participation. He said that voting reflects the constitutional values of liberty, equality and fraternity.
“Voting shows liberty, equality, fraternity,” the Union Minister said, underlining the significance of every citizen participating in the democratic process.
The first phase of the Rajasthan urban local body elections is being held across 39 districts, covering thousands of wards. More than 57 lakh voters are eligible to decide the fate of over 20,000 candidates in this phase.
Polling began amid administrative and security arrangements across the state. The civic elections are expected to play an important role in shaping local governance and political representation in Rajasthan.
The Rajasthan urban local body polls have drawn significant political attention, with major parties mobilising extensively ahead of voting. The elections are being closely watched as an important test of organisational strength at the grassroots level.
Meghwal’s participation in the polling process also served as a message encouraging citizens to exercise their democratic right and contribute to the electoral process.
