BRS Leaders Allege Police Misconduct and Rising Violence in Meeting with State DGP

Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao and senior party leaders met with the State Director General of Police (DGP) to address several serious concerns regarding law and order in the state. The meeting was prompted by a recent attack on a BRS dharna camp in Tirumalagiri, allegedly carried out by Congress supporters.The BRS leaders accused Congress of reviving a culture of violence, noting that the police had reportedly objected to actions such as raiding the dharna camp and dismantling its tent. They expressed concerns over what they described as a deteriorating law and order situation, citing a range of issues including the handling of loan waivers and the attack on two women journalists in Konda Reddy Palli, the Chief Minister’s hometown.
