In a clear violation of forest conservation laws, a case has been registered against a man who was caught ploughing protected forest land in the Bommena 143 compartment under Neelvai forest range in Vempalli mandal.
According to *Forest Range Officer Hafeez Khan, the accused, identified as *Dhoopam Kumar from Chamanapalli village, was found using a tractor to illegally cultivate forest land on Saturday. The forest department team, while on routine patrol, intercepted the act and seized the tractor used in the offense.
The official stated that the accused had violated government norms by attempting to *convert forest land for agricultural use, which is strictly prohibited under the *Forest Conservation Act. A case has been filed against him, and further legal action is underway.
Strict Warning from Forest Authorities
Forest officials have issued a stern warning that unauthorized cultivation or encroachment of forest land will invite stringent penalties. Officer Hafeez Khan reiterated that the department is committed to protecting green cover and no encroachment will be tolerated.
