Case Registered Against KTR in Khanapur Following Congress Leader’s Complaint

In a fresh political controversy, a police case has been registered against Telangana’s former IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) after Congress leader Atram Suguna lodged a complaint at the Utnoor Police Station in Khanapur constituency. The complaint stems from allegations KTR made regarding financial irregularities in major state projects.Suguna, in her complaint, accused KTR of falsely claiming that Rs. 25,000 crore were being funneled to Delhi from state project funds. She further alleged that KTR’s assertion of a Rs. 1.5 lakh crore scam linked to the Musi River Front Development Project was baseless and politically motivated.The police, after receiving the complaint, have formally registered a case and are expected to initiate an investigation into the matter. KTR’s comments, which brought the Musi project into the spotlight, have sparked a heated political debate in Telangana. The Musi River Front Development Project, designed to revitalize the river and enhance urban beautification and water management in Hyderabad, has been a contentious topic due to its large financial investment.
