CEC Gyanesh Kumar Arrives in Chennai for Electoral Literacy Meet
Chennai: Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar arrived in Chennai on Thursday for a regional conference focused on electoral literacy and digital election initiatives.
The Election Commission of India is conducting the programme at Kalaivanar Arangam in the city.
The event is being held under the theme “Learn Democracy, Lead Democracy.” It brings together Booth Level Officers (BLOs), educators, institutional heads and students.
Kumar is scheduled to interact directly with around 500 BLOs during the morning session. Discussions will cover voter enrolment, electoral roll verification and feedback from the grassroots.
The conference is being organised by the Election Commission of India in coordination with Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik.

Nearly 1,000 participants are expected at the conference. They include representatives from 300 schools, 75 colleges and 25 universities across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
