Chief Minister Issues Urgent Directives Amid Ongoing Heavy Rains

Hyderabad, September 1, 2024 — In light of the incessant rains affecting the state, Chief Minister Shri Revanth Anumula has taken decisive action to address the situation. During a teleconference with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Mallu, and Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Damodar Cilarapu, and Jupally Krishna Rao, the Chief Minister reviewed the critical conditions and issued immediate directives.Chief Secretary, DGP, and heads of Municipal, Electricity, Panchayat Raj, Hydraulics, and Water Drainage Departments have been instructed to remain on high alert around the clock. Collectors, SPs, and officials from Revenue, Irrigation, and Municipal sectors are also required to be vigilant, conducting field tours continuously.The Chief Minister has mandated that all officials cancel any leave and focus on their duties, with those in emergency departments required to stay on-site and report regularly to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). Immediate relief efforts are to be prioritized in flood-affected areas.In a public appeal, the Chief Minister urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and advised those in remote areas to stay alert and contact authorities if needed. Additionally, MPs, MPs, MLAs, and MLCs have been instructed to remain in their constituencies to oversee relief operations. Party workers are also mobilized to support relief activities around the clock.Authorities and officials are working tirelessly to manage the situation and provide necessary assistance to affected communities.
