CM Revanth Reddy Orders Comprehensive Action Plan for Issuance of New Ration Cards

*Hyderabad, September 19, 2024:* Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to devise a robust action plan for the issuance of new ration cards across the state. In a high-level review meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, the CM emphasized that applications for new ration cards will be accepted starting from October 2, 2024.During the meeting, Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Cilarapu Damodar, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy were present, and they provided several instructions to the officials regarding the procedure for issuing ration cards. The ministers urged officials to ensure that the process is streamlined and that all deserving citizens are issued digital ration cards.**Digital Ration Cards for All Eligible Citizens**The government has been focused on providing digital ration cards to improve accessibility and transparency. The CM stressed the importance of extending this benefit to all eligible citizens and ensuring that no one deserving is left behind. Officials were instructed to work diligently to identify and process applications from those who have not yet received ration cards.A follow-up review is expected to take place soon, during which the progress and implementation of the action plan will be evaluated.
