CM Revanth Reddy Reviews Flood Relief Measures Following Heavy Rains

**Hyderabad, September 2, 2024:** Chief Minister Revanth Reddy convened a high-level meeting to review the flood relief measures and assess the damage caused by the recent heavy rains across Telangana. The meeting was held at the Integrated Command Control Center, where the CM was joined by Ministers Komati Reddy Venkata Reddy, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, CM’s Adviser Vem Narender Reddy, Chief Secretary Shantikumari, DGP Jitender, and senior officials from various government departments.During the meeting, CM Reddy directed officials to expedite relief operations and ensure that adequate resources are allocated to the flood-affected areas. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of coordinating rescue and relief efforts efficiently to minimize further loss of life and property. He also instructed officials to provide immediate assistance to the victims, including food, shelter, and medical care.Following the review, CM Revanth Reddy announced that he would personally visit Khammam, one of the worst-hit areas, to inspect the damage and oversee the relief operations. The Chief Minister is expected to travel by road from the Command Control Center to Khammam, where he will meet with local officials and flood victims to understand their needs and concerns.The recent heavy rains have caused widespread flooding across several districts in Telangana, resulting in substantial damage to infrastructure, homes, and crops. The government has declared a state of high alert and urged citizens in affected areas to follow safety advisories.The CM’s visit to Khammam aims to provide reassurance to the residents and to demonstrate the government’s commitment to supporting those affected by the floods. Authorities continue to monitor the weather situation closely and have deployed disaster response teams to the most severely impacted regions.
