Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Meets Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman

Delhi – Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka met with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today during his visit to the national capital. The meeting focused on discussing the economic challenges faced by Telangana and seeking central government support for the state’s development.During the discussions, Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted the financial strain on Telangana, particularly emphasizing the burden of debts inherited from the previous administration. He explained that a significant portion of the state’s budget is being consumed by debt repayments and interest, leaving limited resources for other development activities.The Deputy Chief Minister urged the Finance Minister to expedite the release of funds allocated under the Partition Act. He also outlined eight key areas of concern and development needs that require immediate attention and support from the central government.In addition to financial issues, Bhatti Vikramarka addressed environmental and regulatory concerns, stressing the importance of protecting local water bodies and hills. He urged public cooperation with initiatives led by HYDRA, a governmental body focused on these issues, and assured that decisions will be made in accordance with the law. Bhatti Vikramarka also committed to transparently reporting the extent of encroachment on ponds and related land.The meeting reflects Telangana’s ongoing efforts to address financial and environmental challenges while seeking necessary support from the central government to ensure sustainable development.
