A devastating road accident occurred on the Bangalore-Krishnagiri highway near Perandlapalli, resulting in the death of one individual and serious injuries to 12 others. The accident involved a massive pile-up, with 8 cars, 2 buses, and 4 lorries destroyed. The collision was triggered by a granite lorry, which experienced brake failure and collided with the car in front. This initial crash set off a chain reaction, causing multiple vehicles traveling behind to crash into each other. Emergency responders rushed the injured to hospitals in Hosur and Krishnagiri. Among the injured, seven are reported to be in critical condition. In addition to the major wreckage, more than 10 other vehicles sustained minor damage. The highway remains congested for kilometers, with traffic jams extending along the Bangalore-Krishnagiri route. Authorities are working to clear the scene and manage the aftermath of the accident.
