Flood Tragedy in Kodad: Bodies Found in Cars Amid Severe Rains

**Kodad, Telangana** — A devastating discovery emerged from Kodad town in Suryapet district as heavy rains caused floodwaters to submerge much of the area. Two cars swept away by the floods have surfaced, revealing the bodies of individuals trapped inside.The first vehicle was found near Bharti Public School and contained the body of Nagam Ravi, a Kodad resident. This car was among several swept away by the floods near Vaishnavi School. A second vehicle and an auto were also reported missing in the same area.The second body, identified as Venkateshwar, a teacher from Srinivasanagar, was recovered from Srimannarayana Colony. Venkateshwar had been missing since Saturday night after being caught in the flood while traveling home. His body was discovered on Sunday as the waters receded slightly.The flood has caused severe damage throughout Kodad, with many areas submerged and major roads, including Anantagiri and Mellacheruvu, blocked. The Kodad Peddacheurvu lake has overflowed, exacerbating waterlogging in low-lying areas and leaving residents in distress.The relentless rains have created a critical situation in Kodad, with the local community and emergency services working to manage the aftermath and provide support to those affected.
