Hyderabad Elevated Corridors: Chief Secretary Inspects Proposed Projects at Paradise

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary Shri Sanjay Jaju, IAS, inspected the proposed elevated corridors in the Paradise area on Sunday.

He was accompanied by Hyderabad Metro Rail MD Shri Sarfaraz Ahmed, IAS, and other senior officials.

The inspection focused on the proposed road infrastructure projects around the busy Paradise Junction. The area is a key traffic point connecting Secunderabad with northern parts of Hyderabad.

The Telangana government has been planning elevated corridors from Paradise towards Shamirpet and Dairy Farm Road. These projects are aimed at easing congestion and improving connectivity.

The proposed Paradise-Shamirpet corridor is planned along State Highway-01. The other corridor will connect Paradise with Dairy Farm Road through the NH-44 route.

The Paradise-Dairy Farm Road corridor is planned as a major six-lane infrastructure project. It includes an elevated section and an underground tunnel.

The projects are expected to reduce pressure on existing roads. They could also improve travel times for commuters using the Secunderabad and northern Hyderabad routes.

A New Development Bank project summary has identified Paradise Junction as a major traffic bottleneck. The proposed corridors are intended to separate through traffic from local movements.

Officials are continuing field-level assessments and planning for the proposed infrastructure. The latest inspection indicates continued attention from the Telangana government towards the projects.
