Hyderabad Traffic Relief: CM Revanth Reddy Inaugurates Moosarambagh High-Level Bridge
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday inaugurated the new Moosarambagh High-Level Bridge over the Musi River.
The ₹52-crore project connects Amberpet and Moosarambagh. It is expected to bring major relief to daily commuters in the area.
The new bridge is 400 metres long and 14.5 metres wide. It has been developed to improve traffic movement between the two neighbourhoods.
The bridge is also expected to reduce congestion on existing routes. Commuters can now expect smoother travel between Amberpet, Moosarambagh and nearby areas.
New Musi bridge to ease Hyderabad traffic
The Moosarambagh bridge has been designed as a high-level structure across the Musi River. This is important during periods of heavy flooding.
A 3.5-metre-wide footpath has also been provided for pedestrians. Safety measures, lighting and approach-road works were taken up as part of the project.
The bridge is expected to reduce pressure on the existing Chaderghat route. It should also help motorists avoid longer diversions during difficult traffic conditions.
Bridge built at a cost of ₹52 crore
The project was constructed at an estimated cost of ₹52 crore. Officials had inspected the bridge and its approach roads before opening it to traffic.
GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan reviewed the arrangements earlier. He directed officials to complete safety, lighting and pedestrian-related works before the inauguration.
The bridge is expected to become an important link for commuters travelling between Amberpet, Moosarambagh and surrounding parts of Hyderabad.
