**Hyderabad** – Justice Pinaki Chandraghose, who is overseeing the inquiry into the Kaleshwaram lift scheme, is scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad on Friday. He will be stationed in the city for the next two weeks to expedite the investigation.Upon arrival, Justice Chandraghose is expected to issue summons to the Director General of Vigilance and Enforcement (V&E) and the Chairman of the National Dam Safety Agency (NDSA). These summons are intended to address the failure of these agencies to provide reports on the Sundilla, Annaram, and Medigadda barrages, despite repeated requests. The inquiry has faced delays due to the lack of response from these organizations. Justice Chandraghose’s decision to summon the officials underscores his determination to advance the investigation, which also involves cross-examining both serving and former senior IAS officers who have submitted affidavits. In addition to addressing the reports’ delays, the investigation will scrutinize irregularities in the barrage construction. Preliminary findings indicate that over 50 subcontractors were involved in the construction of the three dams, raising concerns about the project’s management and oversight.
