*Hyderabad:* Former Telangana Health Minister Harish Rao has expressed his delight over the Central Government’s approval for four additional medical colleges sanctioned by BRS Chief and Ex Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said that KCR’s long-cherished vision of establishing a medical college in every district of Telangana has now come true.He highlighted that Telangana has set a new record in the country by significantly expanding medical education infrastructure. Harish Rao explained that prior to the formation of Telangana, there were only 850 government medical seats available in the state. Today, that number has surged to 4,090, marking a transformative leap in healthcare and education opportunities for aspiring medical students.The approval for the new medical colleges is seen as a significant step towards enhancing healthcare services across the state and ensuring access to quality medical education in every district.
