*Yadiki, September 27, 2024* — In a significant crackdown on the illegal production of traditional liquor, a man transporting black jaggery, commonly used in the preparation of *natusara* (country liquor), was arrested by authorities on Thursday.Circle Inspector Eranna reported that Mudawat Peekla Naik, a resident of Sitamma Thanda village in the Pyapili mandal of Nandyala district, was apprehended at Kona road cross in Yadiki mandal center. The suspect was found in possession of 25 kg of black jaggery, which is a key ingredient in brewing illegal alcohol.The arrest marks a notable step in the ongoing effort to curb illegal liquor operations in the region.
