In a bid to modernize the signaling system across the country, Indian Railways has announced the cancellation and diversion of several trains in the Vijayawada division from September 2 to September 29. The modernization effort includes the construction of a third railway line between Vijayawada-Guduru Division and Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam. Although some train routes were initially canceled due to this construction, passenger protests have led to the restoration of certain services.
