Many Trains to Vijayawada Canceled from September 2 Due to Signaling Modernization

In a bid to modernize the signaling system across the country, Indian Railways has announced the cancellation and diversion of several trains in the Vijayawada division from September 2 to September 29. This extensive upgrade is part of a broader initiative to enhance railway infrastructure.The following trains have been partially canceled between Vijayawada and Ramavarappadu:- Machilipatnam-Vijayawada (07896)- Vijayawada-Machilipatnam (07769)- Narsapur-Vijayawada (07863)- Vijayawada-Machilipatnam (07866)- Machilipatnam-Vijayawada (07770)- Vijayawada-Bhimavaram Junction (07283)- Machilipatnam-Vijayawada (07870)- Vijayawada-Narsapur (07861)Additionally, several trains will be diverted via alternative routes, including:- Ernakulam-Patna (22643) on September 2, 9, 16, and 23- Bhavnagar-Kakinadaport (12756) on September 7, 14, 21, and 28- Bangalore-Guwahati (12509) on September 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, and 27- Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus-Bhubaneswar (11019) on September 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, and 28- Dhanbad-Alleppey (13351) throughout September- Tata-Yeswantpur (18111) on September 5, 12, 19, and 26- Jasidhi-Tambaram (12376) on September 4, 11, 18, and 25- Hatia-Ernakulam (22837) on September 2, 9, 16, and 23- Hatia-Bangalore (18637) on September 7, 14, 21, and 28- Hatia-Bangalore (12835) on September 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, and 29- Tata-Hatia (12889) on September 6, 13, 20, and 27Passengers are advised to adjust their travel plans according to the new routes and schedules. The modernization effort includes the construction of a third railway line between Vijayawada-Guduru Division and Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam. Although some train routes were initially canceled due to this construction, passenger protests have led to the restoration of certain services.
