MSME 2nd Technology Center to be Established in Amaravati

**Amaravati, September 25**: In a significant boost to the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, the Andhra Pradesh government has allotted 20 acres of land in Amaravati for the establishment of the state’s second MSME Technology Center. This initiative aims to enhance skill development and provide state-of-the-art testing facilities to support MSME businesses in the region.The project, estimated to cost Rs. 250 crores, will offer a range of services and training opportunities. The land is being transferred free of charge to the Central MSME Development Commissioner, underscoring the state government’s commitment to promoting industrial growth and entrepreneurship.The first MSME Technology Center, located in Visakhapatnam, already offers a variety of technical courses including Diploma, Post-Diploma, and PG Diploma programs aimed at fostering innovation and equipping the workforce with necessary skills. The new center in Amaravati is expected to further extend these services, catering to a wider audience and contributing to the state’s economic development.The facility will play a crucial role in providing testing services to MSMEs, helping them meet global standards and boosting their competitiveness in both domestic and international markets. This move is seen as part of a broader strategy to strengthen the MSME sector, which is considered the backbone of the Indian economy.
