BJP Conspiracy Behind Tirumala Laddu Controversy: TPCC’s Jagga Reddy Claims Political Agenda

**Hyderabad**: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Working President, Jagga Reddy, has expressed concerns over what he describes as a BJP-led conspiracy surrounding the Tirumala laddu controversy. In a statement on Wednesday, Jagga Reddy suggested that the ongoing debate about alleged adulteration of the sacred laddu at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) temple is politically motivated.Jagga Reddy emphasized that while the controversy appears to center around religious and quality concerns, the underlying issue may be a strategic political move. He accused the BJP of capitalizing on the incident to gain political mileage, specifically targeting Andhra Pradesh’s political scene.According to Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has failed to take decisive steps in addressing the controversy, which could have been managed with greater transparency. “Chandrababu is speaking in the direction of the BJP, and instead of clarifying the facts, there seems to be an attempt to benefit politically from the issue,” Reddy remarked. The Congress leader further speculated that this might be part of a broader BJP strategy to weaken regional parties, particularly the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP). Reddy suggested that by igniting religious and political controversies, the BJP aims to carve out a stronger foothold in Andhra Pradesh for the upcoming elections.Highlighting the failure of both Naidu and EX AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy in securing special category status for Andhra Pradesh, Jagga Reddy asserted that only Congress, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, could fulfill that promise. “Rahul Gandhi will ensure special status for Andhra Pradesh and complete the long-pending Polavaram project,” he claimed, adding that these assurances would likely shift the political winds in favor of the Congress party in the upcoming elections.Jagga Reddy expressed confidence that the people of Andhra Pradesh, disappointed with both TDP and YSRCP, will turn towards Congress in the next polls. He reiterated that the Congress remains committed to addressing key issues affecting the state and providing solutions that the current leadership has been unable to deliver.
