According to reports, the young man had come home to seek medical attention for a wound on his leg when he later developed symptoms of meningitis.During his treatment, he was admitted to the hospital after experiencing fever and vomiting, common signs of the Nipah virus. A local panchayat member confirmed, “He had a wound on his leg, which was being treated. In the process, he began suffering from fever and vomiting.”The man’s condition worsened, leading to his death, and authorities later confirmed that Nipah was the cause.
