Speaking to a gathering of news organization editors, President Murmu urged the media to operate with courage and not to yield to external pressures or fears.She highlighted the significant role of the media, often referred to as the “fourth estate,” in shaping the nation’s social and political landscape. President Murmu reiterated that the media’s commitment to truth is essential for the proper functioning of democracy and for fostering an informed society. She called on journalists to remain steadfast in their pursuit of truth and to resist any attempts to deviate from this principle.
