Sanitation workers at Nalgonda District Central Hospital staged a protest today, demanding their unpaid salaries and Provident Fund (PF) dues. The protesting staff revealed that they have not received their salaries for the past three months, and PF contributions have not been paid for the last nine months, raising serious concerns about their financial well-being.The sanitation staff, who play a crucial role in maintaining hygiene at the hospital, expressed frustration with the hospital administration and the government. They claim that the agency responsible for their payments has delayed disbursement, citing pending bills from the government as the reason for the non-payment.One of the protesting workers said, *”We have been tirelessly working in the hospital, especially during critical times like the pandemic, but now we are forced to protest because we haven’t been paid for months. It’s becoming impossible to manage our daily expenses.”*The protest has brought attention to the financial struggles faced by contract workers and the ongoing issue of delayed payments in government sectors. The hospital administration is yet to release an official statement, but the sanitation workers have vowed to continue their protests until their dues are cleared.
