*August 23, 2024*The Telangana government has announced a significant step in the Mahalakshmi scheme, providing a Rs. 500,000 subsidy for gas cylinders. In response to growing public concern over the timing of these subsidies, Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy has instructed officials to ensure that the subsidy payments are credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts within 48 hours of gas cylinder delivery. Additionally, beneficiaries will receive notifications on their phones confirming the deposit. This move aims to enhance transparency and streamline the subsidy process, addressing the confusion and ensuring timely financial support for users.
