Hyderabad: Despite extensive surveillance and ongoing efforts by Telangana police and narcotics personnel, the flow of illegal drugs into the city persists. In a recent operation, Balanagar Police intercepted a container vehicle near Peddagolkonda on the Outer Ring Road, uncovering 800 kg of ganja packets hidden inside.The police have seized the drugs and impounded the vehicle. During the operation, two occupants of the vehicle were detained, and their interrogation led to the arrest of three additional individuals. The authorities are actively searching for two more suspects connected to the case, whose apprehension could reveal further details about the drug network and its distribution in the city.The investigation revealed that the vehicle originated from Odisha and was en route to Gachibowli from Peddi Amber Peta. The seizure highlights the ongoing challenges in combating drug trafficking and underscores the need for continued vigilance and enforcement efforts.
