Telangana SIR: Owaisi Urges Voters Who Missed Enumeration Form to Submit Form 6

Hyderabad: AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has urged Telangana voters who did not receive the SIR Enumeration Form, or could not submit it, to take immediate steps to protect their place on the electoral roll.

Owaisi said AIMIM has been continuously guiding the public on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process at Darussalam for the past two-and-a-half months.

He appealed to eligible voters to approach their Booth Level Officer (BLO) and submit Form 6 if their names are missing from the draft electoral roll.

The AIMIM chief stressed that voters should not delay the process. He said timely action is important for ensuring that eligible citizens are included in the final electoral roll.

The Election Commission’s Telangana SIR process has now moved into the claims and objections stage. The draft electoral roll was published on August 17, 2026. Voters have been given time until September 17 to raise claims or objections.

Owaisi’s latest appeal comes amid heightened attention around the revision of voter lists across Telangana. The enumeration phase ended earlier this month, with thousands of voters requiring further verification or corrective action.

Owaisi’s Appeal to Voters

According to Owaisi, anyone who did not receive an Enumeration Form or was unable to submit it should immediately contact the concerned BLO.

He urged voters to complete the required procedure so their names can be considered for inclusion in the final electoral roll.

The AIMIM president has repeatedly raised concerns about the SIR exercise and called for transparency during the verification process. In June, he had also urged the Election Commission to ensure that eligible voters were not left out during the revision.

What Should Voters Do Now?

Voters should first check whether their names appear in the draft electoral roll.

Those whose names are missing can seek assistance from the election authorities and submit the appropriate application. The Election Commission provides Form 6 for registration of eligible citizens in the electoral roll.

Voters can also contact their BLO for guidance regarding their electoral records and the SIR process.

The Election Commission has been conducting the revision through household-level verification, enumeration and subsequent scrutiny of electoral records.

Owaisi’s message is therefore focused on one key point: eligible voters should verify their names and act quickly if their electoral details are missing or require action.
